Seminar and Conference
Preparatory Seminar
to be held in Brussels on 16 September 2010 (09:00-17:00), the aim of which will be to consider the current economic and industrial context and future prospects for European manufacturing, drawing on input from invited experts and policy makers in order to develop a common analysis and elaborate a common industrial trade union strategy tackling the social impact of European policies and legislation on regional and sector level.
The outcome of the seminar will provide the basis for recommendations on sector and horizontal industrial policies which will be discussed at the final conference.
Conference
to be held in Brussels on 18-19 October 2010 (09:00-17:00), which will discuss the recommendations from the Preparatory Seminar with a view to producing a final report on the common analysis and common industrial trade union strategy. This report will be published and translated into 8 languages and will be disseminated in each federation so as to generate a broader discussion amongst workers and trade unionists at sector and company level.
