Supporting the European social dialogue in Southern-Eastern Europe
EFFAT and GEOPA launched a CD to support the members of the social partners’ organisations of agriculture within the process of the social dialogue in the new member states and in the accessing countries of the European Union.
This CD starts with basic information, comprising: the consolidated versions of the Treaty on the European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and the Social Policy and the Creation of the sectoral Social Dialogue Committee.
It further shows examples on social dialogue from: Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and Turkey.
It presents the European Social Dialogue between EFFAT and GEOPA, e.g.: Social Partners’ Framework Agreements, surveys on social dialogue in the new member states and the candidate countries, presentation outline on the negotiation of collective sectoral agreements, social dialogue in the agricultural sector of Lithuania, practical issues of Hungarian collective bargaining in perspectives of EU and local tradition, etc.
Some useful reading literature and links are attached as well to facilitate the answers to questions the social partners from Southern-Eastern Europe.
