The employment impact of climate change policies
The European social partners, BUSINESSEUROPE, CEEP, ETUC and UEAPME, are organising a conference entitled “How will employment and labour markets develop in the context of a transition towards a low-carbon economy?”

The Conference is organised in the context of the European Social Partners’ Integrated Programme 2009-2011 and benefits from the financial support of the European Commission. It will build upon the preliminary findings of the study that were presented and discussed on 29 June 2010 during the first joint seminar of the EU Social partners.
The aim of this final Conference, which will bring together up to 80 participants, is to discuss the conclusions of the expert report on employment and skills impact of climate change adjustment policies. In addition, the extent to which social partners are actively addressing these issues will be assessed through concrete case studies.
