COP16 - trade unions in Cancun

The 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16)
29 November – 10 December in Cancun, Mexico
The ITUC has at this point communicated the following trade union activities:
- Trade union statement and lobby points for COP16: As a consequence of the little progress achieved in COP15, the ITUC and its affiliates have considered that the statement presented to COP15 “Trade unions and climate change: Equity, justice and solidarity in the fight against climate change”, was still valid and pertinent for COP16. This is the reason it will again be distributed in Cancun.
- Planning meeting: Sunday 28th November
- World of Work (WoW) Pavilion: Thursday 2nd December and Tuesday 7th December
The WoW will take place in the University of Quintana Roo (Universidad del Sur, Súper manzana 24, Manzana 15, Lote 10, Av. Uxmal, Cancún Quintana Roo).
- ITUC UNFCCC Side Event: Thursday 9th Dec 2010 - 18H30-20H00 in Room 5 in the UNFCCC premises
- Every morning, from the 29th – 10th December 09H00: trade union planning meeting in the UNFCCC Conference Center.
COP15 Evaluation & report on trade union activities
